On Wednesday September 14, 2022 Ray Harper hosted a talent showcase at the WanderLinger Brewing company in downtown Chattanooga.
Harper offered local artist a chance to perform for a prize but to well, show off their talents. As a woman I tend to be bias and always root for the ladies but hey that’s just me. From Texas to Tennessee to give a shot at Cash and studio time and exposure.
I met Ray Harper at the hair salon she was working when she braided my hair, she was young ambitious with big dreams and a glow in her eyes when I asked her about her future. I can’t remember how many years ago that was but she has since moved to Texas and is a celebrity hair stylist and a creative director and a manager. I have only admired her from a distance via social media I must say what an honor it was for me to be at her first talent showcase in her hometown to document the experience. There was so much talent in the building I can’t wait for the next show and I strongly encourage more rappers looking to seriously take their talents to another level to jump on take full advantage of Harper’s showcase but one day she will not be so easily to book.
Oh and Jay9jaynine won be on the look out for the young man the competition was not stiff so he had to be tough asf to win amongst some Chattanooga’s best females, I told you I might be bias I had my favorite but I will never tell.
